Apple Music costs $11.99 a month for one person in the United States, $19.99 for the Family plan, which Apple's page says can be shared with up to five people, each with their own library, and $6.99 for the Student plan. New subscribers get the first month free, and the Apple Music Classical app is included. The service is also part of every Apple One bundle. Apple's page showed $9.99 for Individual and $14.99 for Family in its copy of October 2, 2022, $10.99 and $16.99 from that of November 1, 2022, and $11.99 and $19.99 from that of September 1, 2026, the second increase in four years. Apple Music now costs $1 a month less than Spotify Premium Individual. Prices read on apple.com on November 1, 2026, before sales tax.

Family, Student and Apple One
Family costs $4 per person when five people share it, and less than two Individual plans for any two people. Student is $6.99 for verified students. Anyone who also pays for Apple TV should look at Apple One Individual, $21.95, which includes both plus Apple Arcade and iCloud+ storage: Apple Music and Apple TV alone already cost $26.98.
The 2026 increase
The change of 2026 happened between July 2, 2026 and September 1, 2026, at the same time as the increases of Apple TV and Apple One. Individual rose by $1, Family by $3 and Student by $1. The previous change, in the autumn of 2022, had also moved all three plans together.
