Paramount+ has two plans in the United States. Paramount+ Essential costs $8.99 a month and carries ads. Paramount+ Premium costs $13.99 a month and adds SHOWTIME, downloads and CBS live, without ads except on live TV, with trailers and sponsorships, as the plan page puts it. The page says an annual plan saves money, but the copy read did not show its price, so this site uses the monthly prices. Essential cost $5.99 in the copy of Paramount+'s page of July 2, 2023; it went to $7.99 between July 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025 and to $8.99 between January 1, 2026 and March 1, 2026. Premium went from $11.99 to $13.99 over the same steps. Walmart+ members can choose Paramount+ Essential as their included streaming service. Essential or Premium
The difference is $5 a month, $60 a year. For that, Premium removes the ads from the on-demand library, adds the SHOWTIME catalog, allows downloads and streams CBS live. Both plans stream on three devices at once, according to the plan table. In the copies of 2023 and 2024 the higher plan was sold as "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME"; the copies of 2026 call it Premium.
Paramount+ through Walmart+
Walmart's membership page lists among Walmart+ benefits one ad-supported service, Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential, to choose every 90 days. A Walmart+ member who would otherwise pay for Essential saves its full price, $107.88 a year; the Walmart+ page and the Prime and Walmart+ comparison count it.
