How to read the table

Each line is one plan whose list price changed between two copies of the service's official US page. The first date is the last copy that still showed the old price; the second is the first copy with the new one. The change took place somewhere in between, and this site does not narrow it down further than its copies allow. Monthly plans show the monthly price; Costco and Sam's Club show the annual fee. A plan that changed name keeps its current name here.

The gaps between two copies vary. Where a service's page was archived every few days, the window is short; where copies are a month or more apart, the window is as long. For Amazon and Costco, the date is the one given in the company's own filing.

Increases by year

The count is not a measure of how much prices rose; one service raising five plans counts five times. The copies read for 2022 are fewer than for later years, so the first line undercounts. Most services raised prices in two to four steps over the period.

What an increase costs over a year

A one-dollar monthly increase costs twelve dollars a year, and most households pay for more than one service. Someone who has kept Netflix Standard, Spotify Premium Individual and Disney+ Premium since the oldest copies read for them, of January 2022, July 2023 and November 2023, pays $180 more a year for the same three plans.
