Spotify Premium has four plans in the United States. Individual costs $12.99 a month, Duo $18.99 for two accounts at the same address, Family $21.99 for up to six accounts at the same address, and Student $6.99 for students at an eligible college, with access to a Hulu plan included, as Spotify's page says. Individual, Duo and the Family plan manager also get 15 hours a month of audiobook listening time. There is no annual plan on the US page. Individual cost $9.99 until mid-2023 and has risen three times since, each time by one dollar: between July 2, 2023 and August 1, 2023, between June 1, 2024 and July 1, 2024 and between January 2, 2026 and February 2, 2026. Price per person
Duo works out to $9.50 per person and Family to $3.66 per person when all six places are used, against $12.99 for Individual. Duo is the cheapest route for two people at one address, and Family for three or more. The family plans guide compares the same arithmetic across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Premium and Netflix.
Three increases in three years
The copies of Spotify's page read here show a price rise every summer or winter since 2023: in July 2023, when Individual reached $10.99; in June 2024, $11.99; and in January 2026, $12.99. Duo and Family rose more in dollars each time, and Student rose twice, by one dollar each time.
