Family plans cost more than an individual plan but less than two. Spotify Premium Family costs $21.99 a month for up to six accounts at one address, against $12.99 for Individual and $18.99 for Duo. Apple Music Family costs $19.99 and can be shared with up to five people, Apple's page says. YouTube Premium Family costs $26.99. Apple One Family, $27.95, covers Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and 200 GB of iCloud+ for the subscriber and up to five others. Netflix has no family plan; Standard and Premium are shared by a household and can add extra members outside it, at $7.99 or $9.99 a month each. Family prices have risen faster in dollars than individual ones: Spotify Family went from $15.99 to $21.99 since 2023. Prices read on November 1, 2026, before sales tax.

Apple Music, Family$19.995$4$11.99
Apple One, Family$27.956$4.66$21.95

YouTube Premium Family, $26.99, is left out of the per-person column because the copy of YouTube's page read did not state the number of members. For two people, Spotify Duo at $18.99 is cheaper than Spotify Family, and two Apple Music Individual plans cost $23.98 against $19.99 for Family.

Video services and the household

Video services price by screens rather than people. Netflix Premium plays on four devices at once and can add two extra members; Standard plays on two and can add one. An extra member without ads costs $9.99 a month, half of Standard's $19.99. Apple TV works for up to six people through Family Sharing, according to Apple's page, at its single price of $14.99.

Building a household total

The calculator at the top starts with a typical household list: Netflix Standard, the Disney+ and Hulu bundle, Spotify Family, Amazon Prime and Costco. Change each line to your own plans; the total and the saving from annual plans update as you go. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
